The BLUER Residential Subcommittee is focused on helping to get our residents – renters, homeowners, and landlords alike – to take actions to protect the safety and security of our community and community members. We’re focusing on helping to educate residents about the things they can do that help them save money but also help us achieve our goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Borough. These behaviors can be small, but they add up.
This committee will explore these opportunities, promote reduced home energy use and increased home energy efficiency in the Borough and work with other organizations that share our common interest. Read about some of our ideas below and track our initiatives on the right side panel.

The Residential Subcommittee meets every month on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise indicated) with topic specific meetings as needed. Locations of meetings will be announced in the minutes from these meetings, which are included in the monthly BLUER meetings -- posted on the About page.
Bike Friendly West Chester is taking steps to improve the biking experience in the Borough. If we can get more people out of their cars and onto bikes or walking there will be less traffic, less pollution and healthier people.
